This research group aims to collaborate with professionals across disciplines to make the most of our areas of expertise, interest and knowledge. We hope to stretch boundaries, challenge traditional ways of thinking, and innovate towards discussing issues on identity formation, applied linguistics, transnationalism, return migration and English language teaching to find new solutions to problems in those areas. ALTI aims to provide a forum for knowledge-sharing and open discussion across disciplines.

ABOUT

About Irasema Mora-Pablo:
Irasema Mora Pablo is a full professor at University of Guanajuato, Mexico, in the Language Department. she coordinated the MA in Applied Linguistics in English Languace Teaching at the Universiry of Guanajuato from 2015 to 2022. She is also part of the National Research System, SNI level 1.
Since 2022, she has served as president of the advisory council of the School of Arts and Humanities of the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla.

Her teaching experience in university levels and her own learning experience have shaped her areas of interest: Bilingualism, Return migration, Latino studies, Identity formation and native and non-native teachers. She has conducted research on these issues and published chapters and articles in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Iran and Spain. She currently coordinates the MA in Applied Linguistics in English Language Teaching at the University of Guanajuato and is part of the National Research System, SNI level 1. She is currently part of the editorial board of the International Journal of Multicultural Education and TESOL journal.
